Not going to be a clutch car with a Liberty or a Lenco or Jerico Trans?

Probably Stage 1 Torqueflite , Stage 2 Powerglide, Stage 3 possibly one of those. Stage 3 will likely have to be a store bought Chromoly car. It won't be me, this car is killing me. I'm like Danny Glover "too old for this ****".

Cool build you are doing. Do you have a set of SFI plans to wrk off of

Do you have a set of SFI plans to wrk off of?
also on the 4-link bars you can make them any length you want.
longer bars make for alittle softer hit.
and depending upon the length you need to make your bar size accordingly.

Thanks. No SFI plans just going by NHRA general safety rules and copying some Pro Mod/Pro Stock style designs I will be looking for those SFI documents before we finalize everything. This is a mild steel mig welded chassis so when he steps up power and needs certification we'll cross that bridge. I know that if he gets to the top level he wants in 5-10 yrs it will have to be chromoly tig welded chassis which I won't be building.

We just took delivery of 4 link bars, adapters and rod ends, wishbone, anti-roll bar, wheelie bars and Strange rear calipers, a little bit of Christmas for Shawn. Now I can weld on the rear housing to get it hung and set pinion angle for engine mid and front mount.

before going any further, get those SFI prints .
I think they are like $35 and study them really good.
Rght off the bat I think the tube you have for maybe the trans mount is to far back from the firewall. Also SFI has specific bar size requirements and placement.
what diameter 4-link bars did you get?

1-1/4" bar might wrk. Those bars you are going to make from the pics and what you said are going to be really long.

Haven't finalized that yet, likely 26-27" center of holes, the mock up of the wish bone shows it long, fitting into the package nicely when I get it welded up.

Here’s part of the reason progress has been slow, Shawn polished the box, rails and new to us wheels on Douglas. The wheels came about the same colour as the running boards. 1995 V10 gas 5 speed.

Made this gizmo to line up driveshaft with housing and set driveline angles. Fabbed up transmission mount, need to mock up wheelie bars to tack on brackets so I can remove housing for final welding. Tomorrow I’ll measure material for mid mount.

Fit another 25ft in today, 10 more feet to go.

Had some floor left over from the bathroom Shawn did, thought I’d try it in the car. What do you think, classy?

Last two pieces for center X left then final weld. We’re looking at the end zone gentlemen. I know 100 more things to do but I need a goal.
