Directly under the ignition lock is a plastic tab with wires. What is the purpose of this ? Does it turn on a buzzer when the ignition is on with the motor not running?

I'm trying to determine what will happen when this is not connected.

I fixed that wire. But I'm not sure what it does.

Should be the key buzzer ??? as far as what i think your asking....
