That's a good shot! I have always been partial to the headlights on, for whatever reason. Nice, man.

Long time lots of work

Lots of work has been done since i last posted about getting the distributor in and wired now im running a 4 barrel elderbrock carb and the truck is black and soon to get a cam any recommendations for a mid size cam or big cam for my small block 318 due to this virus her mud bog build purpose kinda has gone out the door with the event being possibly cancelled but id like to get some high horse power and maybe a set of slicks to race her down our drag strip was hopefully driving her to the indy 500 this year but thats been moved just more time to work on it i guess

I would recommend the Comp Cam Extreme Energy or Lunati Voodoo series, nothing over 220’ @ .050” duration with the heavy vehicle. The limiting factor to big power is the cylinder head port and valve size. I always suggest on line recommendations forms from the camshaft suppliers, easy to do. If you use the stock heads, check retainer to valve guide clearance over .450” lift.

Don’t forget Howard’s too, they’ve got good stuff.

haha, i was gonna recommend the comp cams 268... good low end thump without the lope/vacuum loss. i suppose it would qualify as an RV cam.

With that 268 Comp Cams asks for an aftermarket torque convertor.

This is what I think you need for a 4x4, it needs to pull from off idle. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...4-800?N=%3A%2B
very easy to over cam....
