Big Block 400 Help!!

So I decided to make an account and ask a quick question on here, I have a thumpr cam in my 400, its not running yet as I have it out of the truck right now. I was wondering if it is okay for me to be running that cam with the stock rockers? Thanks

Assuming new hydraulic lifters and good springs, yes.

Yes I have new lifters and I just had the heads rebuilt so the springs should be good

I agree with Archer, roller rockers are not necessary for a cam that size. Save your money for other go fast items

Probably more important is the correct valve springs. 500 lift stock springs will not cut it. I tried stock springs with a Hemi cam once and was breaking springs with in the first twenty miles and that is a smaller cam than the thumper cam.
