Won't start

We have been family redoing a 1975 charger la 360 after new tank sending unit lines fuel pump elderbrock 4b an intake now it was running fantastic took her out about hour drive it shut off won't restart unless hold gas to the floor only stay running this way sounds like being chocked but everything seems to be working am lost float stuck or need to readjust carb???6psi manual pump card is 6.5psi

So the float adjustment was wrong? of junk got in the carb and it was flooding?

When you put in the sending unit did you clean out the tank? Did you use the multi-fuel neoprene/rubber lines when you replaced all the lines? What about the timing? It may sound silly but is the distributor bolt not quite tight? Does it do it only when hot, how about when it cools down? Vapor locking at the carb, was a problem with my buddy's 66 318. He added the "Heat Shield" and it helped. If you have old lines, you may have a plugged in carb filter, or a needle and seat that has stuff in it.
