Had a 92 reg cab, short bed, 2wd - 00 x-cab, short bed, 4wd - and 01 reg cab, short bed, 2wd. All had the 3.9 V6. The 92 and 01 were stick, 00 was auto and went through 3 trannies.

Thanks, I really wanted a purple one but could not locate a purple std cab. The dealer had a Red one which they dealer traded for the blue one I bought. Since I live on a dirt road I think the Blue was a blessing in disquise as it dosn't show the dust to much. The Purple would have been almost as bad as black on a dirt road. I do like black and have a black 04 Cobra and boy do I spend alot of time cleaning it....LOL

Posted here is the thread about my 98 Dakota Sport Club Cab 4X4. Planned upgrades include 5.9 and 9.25 rear swap from a 2000 Dakota R/T.

Just a thought, but since I am putting a 5.9 in my truck, with the rear out of the R/T, and I WANT R/T wheels for mine, how about a decal for my Sport that reads SpoR/T? I think it would look better in the script

Hi all, I'm brand new here. I have an 02 Dakota Sport Quad Cab, 2wd, 3.9 5 speed. I am the 3rd owner, and have owned it since 2004 and 30k miles. She just turned 150K last month and is still going strong, and she has not had an easy life.
One thing I have learned, a Quad cab with manual crank windows it a rare truck. The driverside regulator broke on my truck, and I can only get it from the dealership, and they even have to order it. Not a single salvage yard in my area has one, nor can they find one for me.

Well, if the financing goes through, Tuesday I pick up a 97 Ram 3500 Dually with the Cummins Traded the Dak in on it tonight.
Guess that 5.9 will fit right nice in the Demon

Photos in that link of my '96 Dakota 5.2l V8. Dunno what it is about 318's but they seem to run forever.
