2 barrel carter upgrade-choke problems

Hi guys. My name is Gary and I have a 1965 Dodge A100 Pickup with a slant six 225. I got a guy in Pennsylvania to sell me his Carter BBD carb, intake and exhaust manifolds from a 1977 Aspen. The truck runs good but I am having trouble with the choke setup. The Aspen choke has an electrical lead but in reading the material about 2bbl conversion, no reference to an electrical choke is mentioned. I'm even considering putting a manual choke in (I live in San Diego) just for startup. Any thoughts? Thanks!!

It is probably a factory electric assist choke Just need 12V ign on source. Should have a small part with a 10 watt resistor tied to the two terminals one to choke other side to 12v
