Hello from new Mopar convert

After restoring Fords and Chevys over the last 40 years I decided to try a Mopar. I picked up a 1965 Ply Sport Fury that needs a total restore. I also purchased a 440 for the car and have a question on the cam. It has 452 ported/polished heads and a mopar cam P1420237 (292/292) Lift .509"/509". I think this cam is to aggressive for normal street driving. It will be bolted to a 727 trans. What do you think?

Welcome!

There are some folks here who know cams pretty well that should be able to answer your question.

Welcome aboard. The 509 purple cam doesn't really come into play until higher rpms. So it kinda sucks at lower ones. Some people love them and some hate them.
