Hi from slot car maker!

Hi guys, as a hobby I make 1:32 scale slot cars, mostly from the 1970s and quite a few mopars in there.

I'm here to make sure the models I make are accurate, so you guys who own the real thing can help, I hope

The real difference with my slot cars isn't the way they look on the shelf, although nobody else makes bodyshells like these, the difference is how they drive on the track. The cars have steering front wheels and suspension to make the cars lean through corners.

The best way to see them is on a video, this is one of mine, there are others but some have Fords in them

Thanks for the welcome! As I live in England we really don't have many cars of this era to see, there's a few of the late '60s muscle cars you can see at shows but I've never seen a 1970s Chrysler or Dodge here.

I'll get browsing the pictures to see some more of your cars

WELCOME... I use to have slot cars when I was a kid and went to a commercial track where there were 12 lanes of racing going on. there was 10 different tracks and I was on a league of racers.. I had 2 different cars 1 was a Mako shark and the other was called the Banana split. A dragster type car.. The one track had a straight away that was 100 ft. long and those cars would go by in a blurr they were going so fast. Thanks for the memories, Even back then these cars were alot of money cant imagine what they cost now...Bill

Chase -

Nice work!
Been out of slots for decades.
First time I saw the video, thought there was too much body sway. But after a while it started looking really cool. Nice work on the video as well.
There were some slot cars back in the 70's that had "steering" wheels on the track, but none with body sway.

Nicely done!
