Well everything is out except 1 piston and the crank, taking the engine to get bored .020 over. gonna cost me $160, and then I'm gonna get a little bit bigger valves. Have them redo the valve seats, get new pistons. Buy some new bearings and few other things and then the engine will be getting out back together

Don't know what I was thinking, I cut mine 4.38 the first time. Not concerned about cylinder wear.

4.32 is the number.

Hey Dakota, I'm told there is only one OEM replacement piston now and its the low compression 8.2 piston. You are better off ordering high performance pistons than trying to make the 8.2 compression work. You will have to have your block decked 0.40 and your heads cut to 80 ccs just to get 9.5 to 1 compression = $$$$. So don't buy an overhaul kit, get descent pistons with a compression of 9.5 with a camber of 86 ccs and you will be money ahead.

Oh and there is one piston that won't come out, and I figured out why... there is metal melted to the cylinder walls. The piston won't go past it...

You should start your own thread instead of interrupting and ongoing one. I'm sure someone can help you out.
