need help with 318 problems plz

hi guys....still working on getting my '67 sport fury on the road....its goin slowly but i think i'm about there. i've replaced the heads(stock remans)...fuel tank..fuel lines/hoses...lifters...pushrods...went through 3 mechanical fuel pumps and finally went with an electric pump...got rid of the points dizzy and put on a reman 2bbl carb....plugs...wires...cap..rotor...filters..ect.

now my problem is with the dizzy or the carb...cant figure out which. i think i got the timing right and the carb set right...but it only runs good while the vaccuum advance is not plugged into the carb..soon as we plug in the vacuum advance it dies.
not quite sure where to go from here so any advice would be hugely appreciated.

from what i've been told...one of the vacuum ports on the carb should be a metering port that ups the vacuum as i rev the engine..but when i hook up a vacuum gauge to the ports they all seem to be pulling the same amount of vacuum from start up to idle and while revving. could it be that the carb i got is faulty?
also the distributor and module i am using are off a 1978 fury with a 318...the dizzy is a reman and the module is brand new.
