RTE Voltage limiter question???
So I just got my new limiter in the mail but I realize that the mounting tab doesn't have that extra tab for what I believe is a ground. What do I do with that wire? Does anyone know what its for?Attachment 8469

if the case is steel regular solder does not stick well to steel. but silver solder will stick good. i have seen an artical on putting a 7505 ic chip in the case to get good voltage control. but i cant find it. sorry.

On a side note, take this opportunity to check through your cluster..........................
Check and repair as necessary the cluster connector pins which can become loose and break
On cars with a "plug in" IVR the connector fingers may not be contacting the board.
"Re" tighten the gauge stud nuts back and forth
Add a dedicated ground to the cluster. Most cars were grounded--"maybe" through the cluster mounting screws.
