318 leaking antifreeze into oil pan

318 leaking antifreeze into oil pan

my 318 is leaking antifreeze into the oil pan I have the pan off and it seems to be leaking from the rear of the crankshaft right above the oil pump any suggestions would greatly be appreciated thanks

Well... If the intake is not cracked.... And the Head is not cracked on the underside of them.... Sounds to me that would only leave 1 option for the leak. And that would be a cracked block... Ouch..

Just my 2 cents...

Welcome to the sight.... Might pressure test the cooling system and see if you can see where the leak or crack is????

I'm with Bob Assuming the cooling system is still hooked up ? pressurize it with the pan off and see where the leak is How much antifreeze ? Maybe it is leaking from the freeze plugs at the back of the motor and leaking thru the pan gasket ????
