Question Building 360 Magium water pump ? help

Hello Daryl here .. i'm building a 95 360 Magium hot rod engine and need to load a water pump on this engine...
Question is can i use an older 360 LA water pump? or must i use a newer 360 Magium pump.
I'm told they are 2 differant pumps & i must use new Mag pump

Also i'd like to load pulley system.... V drive if i can... will older LA brackets & pulleys fit?

Thanks in advance.... Daryl

they are for fact different pumps. get one for a magnum. idk about pullys but you might be able to fit a late LA style v belt water pump pulley onto a magnum pump. they are usually pressed on though...a 318 pump is the same and you can get one that allows you to bolt on a pulley usually from the 92-94 range in years.

The magnum water pump has a reverse rotation so watch you belt routing
But to answer your question yes you can use la pump . The blocks are the same in design with the latter having a roller cam.

Yes no problem, block fuel pump mount if not used.
