Early LA power steering pump
Hey everybody. This is my first post.
I have just put a 1977 360 in my 1966 Barracuda. I've solved a bunch of problems so far but this one has me stumped. Since my AC and alternator brackets fit the cast water pump from the original 273 I decided to put a cast water pump on the later 360. I also took the main pulley off the 273 and put it on the 360 so belts would line up. I also have a later power steering pump (a shape) that mounts much differently that the early one. Also the later pump runs off of the outer pulley. The 273 has the AC running on the outer pulley. My question is: does the early pump run off of the center pulley? I want to know before I buy one.
