I got the engine installed this weekend. Some of the plumbing is done, some of the electrical is done, there is still some to do. I still need to bend up my trans cooler lines, hook up the remote oil filter, install the electric fan, hook up the trans shifter. Not that much but it is all time consuming and the weekend is over. Here is what it looks like so far:

You do very nice work, from the looks of your work so far I'm guessing you aren't going to run the a/c

I got ruined by racing the Viper I owned for about ten years. Sitting in the staging lanes in your helmet with the CD player going and the AC on is a great way to run high eleven low 12 second passes! I had to add it back on this car. It was a factory AC car so all the controls and duct work is there just some mods to the plumbing and I am good to go. If anyone is interested there is a complete thread on my other site www.Crazy4Carz.Com Go to the forums, scroll down to Muscle cars, and click on "Its not a muscle car yet..." That shows this car as its original slant six auto and the tear down and all the progress. Plenty of pictures and plenty of text for someone looking for a good read.

I'll take a look when I get to work and have nothing to do. Then my boss will come down and be mad that I'm on the computer but once he sees it, he'll be reading it and then go into one of his stories and forget why he was mad at me.

I guess I don't understand your question. A crank trigger works the computer. (sort of like asking someone, "do you drive to work or pack your lunch?") The late model HEMI has two plugs per cylinder and I have seen the distributor set up but not one that will fire 16 plugs. Why give that up? Why walk away from all the tuning possibilities with the computer set up? I have infinate timming abilities right from the lap top. The computer lets me have a two step. I can, with the flip of a switch drop 10 degrees of timming when the nitrous is activated, and have a launch rev limmiter built right in. When the transbrake is active the RPM's are locked at 4000 (or what ever I choose) and with the release of a button the car launches and the limmiter is off.

You ask why not a dizzy? just thinking..? Just thinking what? I am open to suggestions.

It's alive! We got it running this weekend. There is still much to get done to drive but it is no longer a paperweight. It can move under its own power.

crazy4carz,

I would be interested in an oil change day. I'm 153 miles away in Northern NJ. It would be a good trip for my car.
