Hey guys, all's well here.
My wife has just retired last week, building a deck and gazebo, got one day in then it's started raining and for the next three days. The bizarre thing is cannot find any pressure treated deck boards anywhere and they say it's a shortage until September because of pandemic.

Too many guys have been getting the "honey do" list done lately. Gonna have to replace a post on my fence the wind blew over...eventually. Got the block back from the machine shop and got a pretty good jump on it this week. Based on specs should be a little over 300HP.

Thought I'd say hey after your text yesterday Bob.
The boy has kept me busy this summer although I'm plenty worried about him going to school at the end of the month. Every one stay safe.

congrats Dan, it sure feels good to get projects done.

Iowan, good to see you around.

Take care of yourself Bob, those knees will haunt you.

Got motor installed but not able to get it running right. Kept thinking it was distributor timing but starting to lean toward another issue. We have set it to TDC and installed dizzy like a hundred times. Tried moving timing up and down a couple teeth and nothing seems to get rid of pinging. More than a tooth off and it won't even start. We are pretty determined to not call dad in to help. This is our project and we want to say we did it all on our own.

Here's my buddy's 64 300K, his mom bought it used in 65 and he raced it from 69 on.

I made the glass hood and bumper in 83. Car ran 11.0s with a 1970 SS 440 he built for a buddy in the 70s. Thats stock unported heads and a 7.50 lift cam. The Chrysler weighs in at 4100lbs without the driver.

That is cool - I use to run a 66 sport fury at Orange County back in the early 70s when I was in the navy - stationed at 29 palms - medic with the Marine Corps - Big car but it held its own - 440 auto - lots of fun. _ Jaxx

He might be a pretty good mechanic but his skills of finding a line driving off road needs some work. If you straddle a large rock in the center of your axle and it drags on front axle guaranteed the diff on the rear will hang up much worse. Some pretty bald tires on his Jeep too. Can't do recovery if your vehicle is not in top shape and who runs without a spare tire?
