Have a safe holiday…

Good Morning Mopar Friends
Oh, I see!!! No wonder I got two pieces of coal!!!! I'll just keep yours until I see you!!! Hahahahahahahaha
Hope "Boy" had a nice Christmas, I do wish you both well wishes my friend... Cheers Hope the house was warm and the shop was not too frozen?
Us here on the West Coast and particularly in Southern California are sitting nicely at a 81* in the weather area.... So we gruge out the old Brand-X for a little cruise for a few days before the rain comes in.
And the best part..... I'm off all week....
Wish you all well and hope your year ends with good health and happiness and much laughter and joy....

Mopar on my friends !!!

Morning, I did something fun today. I have been working on a climb that requires body control and balance much more than strength. I got a video of it today. I also completed a powerful route climbing out of a roof but did not get a good video of it. I will share it when I get it.

Good Morning Mopar Family, Hope you are all doing well with your projects? Spring is rite around the corner !!!!
Time to get out and get some Hot Rodding and Racing and Cruising Going!!!!!
My plans are as Follows. As I have been Driving my 1977 Dodge D150 (Warlock) 360 V-8 with a 727 Automatic Transmission for the past 43 Years as a (Daily Driver) Yes you read that correctly ! Its been a daily driver for me! Believe it or not!!! Only down time has been for repairs needed.
But I have now decided that I well as of this coming July 2023 park the truck for a good makeover. Or I may just sell it off to the highest bidder. I have been considering that as well. Living here in California is a tough sale for our old cars and truck. and as of the moment I still have to smog this old war horse... And That My Friends is a chore all in itself !!! Here in this State, they truly want them gone !!!
So we will see how it all pans out in the near future. We will keep ya posted.... But for now.... Keep on Moparing Yalls..... Cheers....

Bob just imagine the pile of $100 dollar bills that you have have spent over the years on gas driving your Dodge. I'm kind of in the same place with my 15 year old Explorer. It's a gas hog but it pulls the camper and the car trailer as needed, goes through 12 inches of snow and drives like a dream. I've been thinking about getting rid of some of the need as in trailers and getting something smaller. Hard to part with a vehicle you truly like...

Hey Mopar family, hope all is good. Trailer is still getting worked on but looks to be almost complete. It got an exo cage of sorts that was unexpected. Might end up having to swap the axle out to handle the weight when loaded up but we will run it and see. Realized I forgot to share my other climbing video with you. Also have a little teaser of the trailer top.

Good Morning Mopar Family,
Hope you all had a great weekend? I was out chasing an Electrical Gremlin in the old 1977 Dodge D150. IT started Over Charging to around 15.0 Volt. It knocked out one of my Ignition Control Modules. Let me sitting while out picking up dinner the other night.
So after checking Voltage to the Voltage Regulator Connecter Pins "12 Volts), I thought I would be smart and swap out the voltage regulator and be done with it ! Nope!!! To my surprise that didnt fix it. And things went bad from there !!! At this point it was now charging 16.0 Volts. The battery immediately starts boiling over !! So I run over and quickly unplug the newly installed voltage regulator and turn off the truck... I giggle for a moment, scratch my head, and think 'wtf" lol... So i then go and grab my DVOM meter and set t to 20K ohm's checking to two pins on the voltage regulator, and we found it has 1.89 ohm's.
" for everyone information it's suppose to read 1.75 that should lead to a 14.0-14.5 volt regulated"
So what do I do, I just go back in the shop and grab another new voltage regulator from a different manufacture (Ya Rite) and install it and try again, and now the reading is for the battery voltage is at 15.0 volt and then comes down to about 14.8 volts after the engine is started and runs for a few moments?
So after testing all three of the voltage regulators that i have, 2- new and 1- used, all somewhere in the range of 1.88-1.95@20Kohm's. I decided i needed to get an adjustable Voltage Regulator so I can get the factory correct reading of 1.75@20K ohm's.
However it is my understanding, that bad connections and bad grounds can also cause this issue. So while i.m waiting for this new adjustable voltage regulator, I will be doing some wiring voltage checks. All appears to be good? I only have a 1/2 a volt drop at any given point i have checked so far.
So i'll just scratch my head at this point...
Added point for the red flag.. Not sure why, but the volt gauge started jumping back and forth very fast 12-15 volt at idle, at first I didn't think much of it. I just thought the alternator diodes were starting t get weak? So not that i see it at the moment, but maybe it could be the alternator? Will see... to be continued...

Yalls have a great day and week ahead, be careful if your around harsh weather conditions !!!! Cheers

Is anyone getting tired of winter yet or is it just me? It seems like the six weeks of more winter have been the worst especially for you west coast folks. After a year and a half my legs are finally working again so I'm looking forward to working in my shop and on the yard.
So how is your cabin fever working for you?
