Morning, having coffee with the dogs. Going to the grandkids today for a birthday party. Our oldest son is leaving for a new job out of town and we may be getting another dog, German Shepard. My sister in law “rescued” this one but her oldest dog isn’t happy, I guess I’d be the same at this age and my wife brought some young man home to live with us, I’d be grumpy too. Maybe just more grumpy.

Heck yeah it’s smoky! I’m right near all the fires in San berdoo forest and actually work up there. Not so fun most days. Unreasonably hot and dusty and smoky. Thank god for a day off.
Tuesday night was a little rough. Got lucky thanks to always riding in full gear. Dislocated shoulder, bruising and just a little road rash. Already making my plans for both me and the bike returning better than before.

glad your ok, and only a little roughed up... i have crashed, my son has crashed, and both my brothers have crashed bikes.. we all have lived threw it, but have scares and mobility … heal up and be safe out there...

Hello Y'all, Not much happening around here.... Been laid up after knee surgery... All is going well and looking good.... I'm ready to get back in the"Hunt" sitting around is not my cup of tea !!!
No work until Nov 2... Oh boy... Mopars to the front.... See you soon..
good to hear healing is going well for you. Looks like you will be beating me to getting back at things. Doctor was concerned about fracturing in shoulder and is making me just relax and following up with more x rays at end of month. Hopefully can start PT then. Got most of parts in for bike and brother got started rebuilding it. Back to a running machine again. A few more parts arriving this week and then it is waiting game for plastics to be molded and painted, hopefully about a month away.

Glad our going to be ok.... Thats the main thing.... Thanks for the well wishes... as of today I am up and around... Doc said just go easy until all heals up, But time to get things moving..

Thanks for asking!! We are doing good. Knee is heeling and after a six week lay up I went back to work on Nov,2... Still a little sore at times, But it feels a lot better than it did. The knee is not keeping me up at night anymore. That is a great deal on its own....lol
I dont think it will ever be 100% from here on out, but hey, i'll take it, still have all the other issues of life. But at least i can move around much better....

Mopar On !!!!
Hey guys, doing well and healthy here. The race car is on the back burner, we're focused on the '70 Coronet to be on the road in the spring. Picked up a 2006 5.7 Hemi to put in it with a 4 speed A833, no 408 stroker like was planned. Shawn is super pumped and we've moved cars around, organized the shop with a plan to get this done. I might start a thread when we really get going.
The boy asked me just the other day about fishing, we haven't gone in two months but it was spitting rain and about 34° so I wasn't to intrested. He was easily distracted with icecream so we didn't go.
Yep I'm hoping that every one has a good Turkey day the boy and I will be having ham. Stay safe
Bob, glad you are doing well. Knee injuries suck so I imagine surgery is even worse. Tore my mid lateral ligaments in my knee about 15 years ago.
Dan, it is so great to see these projects with your son. Been enjoying the build on race car and this hemi swap should be good to.
Iowan, we chose ham also. My diet has me eating white meat all year long and when the holidays come I like a treat. Going to glaze my ham into candy in the smoker.
Shoulder is healing but still working to gain range of motion. Supposed to start back to work in 3 weeks but I don't see how it is possible. Still can't get my hand above my head after three weeks of therapy and 6 weeks of healing, but in 3 more I should be able to climb a ladder with a 70 pound backpack on. Guess we will see and I will just keep working and let things happen in the time that they happen. Fairings for bike are being delivered today. With a little luck I might have it done in the next couple weeks but with no garage I am a little at the mercy of weather. Have a blessed holiday everyone!
