Hi all I am putting a 1968 440 with an NP435 into a 1979 W400 that had a 360. I am replacing the NP203 with an NP205 transfer case and was using the stock truck motor mounts that came out of a 1977 D300. I just went to drop the motor in and it appears to be sitting too far back. Hard to tell as I have the cab off the truck for body work. Is anyone aware of either a different motor mount used in the 4wd big block trucks or transmission cross member? The cross member is from the small block truck. Thanks

 

Did you check online to see if the trucks used the same part number?

 

Wow... I have no idea....
Looks like from that angle, that the mount needs to be mounted on the front block ear tabs!!! But i'm not sure if that would fit that way?
Can't say that i have see any mounts with that much offset....
