We booked a cruise last spring for beginning of Feb. Was looking forward to escaping the freeze but got to Miami on the coldest day in 15 years. Made for a bit cooler cruise than expected but it was still great, short of a few hiccups. Will share a few pics. Next month is a little rough with all the doctor appointments making me feel old. Pre op exam, operation, post op and colon check. Government decided to throw in a jury duty too.
That's Miami? Looks almost exactly like the channel in the Port of Galveston; I sailed out of there in October. I feel ya on everything else too, I just got cortisone shots in both my knees this week and my left one hasn't been happy. II had the colon thing a couple of years ago, but I did the home kit. Less invasive, but gross... And irony, my 79 year old mom AND my sister both got summoned for jury duty last week. Rains it pours, right?
Good Morning Yalls.... Great to here all the good news... Sounds like things are moving right along...
I dont mind the Edelbrock, Once you get use to tuning them it becomes a good mild manners deal...
Not much going on around here.... I'm kind of moving slow.... Feeling kind of punny lately...
Have a good week yalls

Sorry to hear you've got the punies bud, hope you get to feeling better soon. We're in high cotton here, been a really nice week, even set a record high of 82 today. Went out and fired up the grille for the first time this year, man oh man was that a long time coming. Went out and got in some garage time yesterday, moved the Challenger around and swept all the leaves that blew in every time I opened the garage door this winter. Now that I've got the workspace rearranged I'm gonna try and at least get the old brake booster off the '70, then I can swap the hacked up engine harness out for a new one and swap the carb out at the same time. I never actually had any trouble with the Performer carbs, I've actually been able to run them right out of the box, just set the idle speed and go. Hopefully this one will be the same, I'm anxious to get that ol' thang out and do some mogatin'. Our little Bartlett cruise-in starts back next week; it starts and ends with the time change.
I did something I never thought I'd do if I lived 10 lifetimes on Wednesday. I took the Durango through a car wash. Yeah, I know, but the knees just won't agree to spending an hour plus out there squatting to do the wheels, climbing on a stepstool to do the roof, so I pulled the trigger. They've come a long way, I don't think I could have done better myself.
Got a rainy weekend coming up so I'll be getting some stuff done inside, hope everybody has a great one.
I had heard that yalls may be under a tornado watch on Friday???? Kids over across the way said they had to go hunker down !!! Lucky nothing became of it as far as I was told.
Hope you get to enjoy working out in the shop.... As for the car wash, I run mine threw... But then have to go home and put the finishing touchs on it...
Im doing much better.. Thanks...
Going to be a nice 85* day.... Think i'll go find a shade tree to kick back under inbetween cleaning up after the winds we had..
So, Cheers and Beers too all yalls.... Good Luck with the projects... See ya soon... And remember .... If you never quit, you havent failed....
Good Morning Mopar Family…

I'm really an all around kind of a car guy.... But Mopars are my passion, I suppose i just like them more and always turned more heads... And most folks new it was me when i showed up...lol
Hope all went well for you at the doctors and hope the shots are helping for you to be able to get out and get some things done out in the shop...
I got some Brand-X stuff I need to get worked on for a few buddy's, Now that the weather doesn't make my bone hurt so much, i think i better get rolling on them...
Tom, That would be neat for you to get that Hot Rod back out and on the road....
Happy first day of spring! Hope y'all have the nice weather we've got here, going to be a perfect weekend. I took the '36 to its first Thursday night cruise-in of 2026 yesterday, had an overflow crowd which was no surprise with the great weather-sunny and 77. Saw a fine sublime green '70 Road Runner, about the only option it didn't have was the air grabber which was understandable since it had a/c. This morning I've been scraping and chiseling the petrified carpet glue off my seat belt retractor covers from the Challenger; I tried every safe for plastic product I could find and nothing even touched it, so it's a purely try to not cut my hand off battle with a razor knife and scraper. Got one pretty well finished and the other is about 75%. I'm headed out in a few minutes to put the battery back in my rider and fire it up, maybe run it across the back yard, then I'm going to insulate my garage door with some sheet styrafoam insulation I bought last year. Tomorrow will be the Cars & Coffee and when I get home from that I'm going to get out and do some work on the Challenger. The cortisone shots have finally kicked in and my knees are feeling up to it now. I entered a new decade earlier this week too, so there's that...
Been on here too long so I'm gonna sign off before I get lazy...

Og man !! That should have warmed the shop up enough to want to go out and get something done.....
Good Morning Mopar family and friends,
Hope everyone is doing well?
Just jumped in here to say Happy Easter Weekend!!! Blessing to all of yalls...
Not much going on around here, health issues seem to be holding thing back.. But the good thing is, we are on the rite side of the dirt...
Taks care and we will see ya soon.... MOPAR ON !!!!! Its spring time !!!
Afternoon errybody, hope y'all had an enjoyable Easter, it was a beautiful day here but a bit chilly, mid 60's with a north wind. Today's just about perfect, mid 70's, low humidity and not a cloud in the sky. Well I got some bad news Saturday, a good friend of mine from my Mopar club days passed away from liver cancer. He'd been fighting it for about 4 years and it finally got to be too much. I had been friends with Vince and his wife for close to 40 years. He was surrounded by family and friends so it was a good way to go out. He and I went to the Moparty in Bowling Green a couple of years ago and he had a good time, that was the first time he'd been to a car show since the early 00's. He has a beautiful '70 Challenger R/T convertible he bought in the '70's and a plum crazy '70 race car.
I'm about to get back on my own Challenger probably this weekend, I've been insulating my garage door and got sidetracked by some other things. I'll finish the door this week and then I'll be free for the car. Once I get started, I'm hoping it'll go pretty fast. I've been gathering bits & pieces over the winter and been prepping some other things so it'll all be ready to go. I've you've never scraped 56 year old carpet glue off plastic seat belt retractor covers, it ain't any fun. I tried umpteen dozen different solvents and removers but nothing even touched the petrified glue, so it was back to basics and a razor blade. Done and done now though...
Sorry about your friend !!!!!
Nice weather here at the moment..... The Big Show NHRA is in town here at Pomona Dragstrip here in SO-CAL... May rain on them Sat-Sun, But we will have to wait and see if that storm doesn't fall apart...
Happy Friday eve! Hey Bob, the door insulation is going great, way easier than I expected, it's over half done now but I got sidetracked about a week ago with rain and a cold snap, I'm going to finish it up tomorrow. I went Tuesday to have a procedure done on my prostate (did I mention how much it sucks to get old?), not cancer just oversized for my age. Everything went well, I've gotta take it light for a few days but it's going good so far. I've also got a squirrel living in my attic so I had my pest control people out to check that out. Aaand I did some yard work today, cut the yard and spread 8 bags of mulch in my beds. I hope I can gather up enough energy to get out this afternoon for cruise night.
You going to Pomona? Our local hero Clay Millican ought to be there. I was hoping to go to North Carolina this weekend, Herb McCandless is having a big birthday blowout for Buddy Martin and they're having a open house at the McCandless Collection, basically a museum with as many of Herb's cars as they have been about to locate and buy back.
I've been playing with Chatgpt lately and did a couple of ai shots of the '36 and the '70 on the dragstrip. Turned out surprisingly well, they still managed to get a couple of details wrong - the firewall is backward on the '36 and the Challenger grille looks more like a 'Cuda, but they've made huge strides in just the last year or two. They only let you do three in a 24 hour period for free, or you could subscribe and do I guess however many you want, but I'm the king of cheap...
Ken, No i'm not going to be able to make it out to Pomona. My wife has health issues that keeps me grounded here at the house unfortunately, So I just have to sit home on my fat azz...lol
Hope you heel up quickly and get to feeling better! And I agree on the getting old.. lol
That AI stuff is kind of cool... But it does have a lot of imperfections. But still cool.
Well Keep on chipping away at it.
Raining here in SO-CAL this morning. but will push out by Noon so the NHRA can run whatever they can get in today.
Y'all;s have a good week now, and we will see you soon...

Your cars look great! Are they professional photos?
Been an interesting couple of months. Back to work in a couple weeks. I was remembering the expiration for the extended warranty on the Ram wrong, thinking I had a year left. I started building a replacement truck on Ram and surprise the dealership nearest me had one that matched everything except the step rails. At the same time my mom had been telling me about how bad the rust rot on her truck was and in general just wearing down. Convinced her to drive out here and trade us for the 2016 Ram which is in much better condition. The warranty is actually good until 2029, and is transferable. We then took her 2014 F150 and traded it in for the wife's new truck. 2026 Ram 2500 Big Horn. Went a little bigger as we intend to get a camper in about 5 years. Got the truck home and the step rails arrived about 2 hours later. While installing the rails I actually found spots on the underside of the body that had not been painted and there was bare metal. I just have a certain luck with new vehicles. Dealership got it in and painted right away and gave me a Mopar duck for the Jeep
Lol. First tank average was 9 mpg. She did a lot of idle run time playing with all things in the uconnect screen. Got some great news for Colorado today. Hudson has approved Bandimere Speedway for a new track. https://www.9news.com/article/life/s...f-1233aae65d72
