I have heard that Milan Dragway in Mich is up for sale. They just did some improvements there too. I can imagine the overhead (liability insurance) is pretty high for a dragstrip. You can thank lawyers and excessive payouts for the high insurance rates. Large tracts of land like that are like farm ground. Why take the risk and headaches to farm it every year when you are offered a large sum of money to invest it instead of worrying about the weather and grain prices.
Good to see you FivePoint.... I agree... The land and the payout is very inviting, and when no one in the family wants to carry on when you get older. It makes the taking the money and run look so easy to do...
But man, without food we are in trouble!!!! I cant believe the price of equipment these days. Hard to make a profit for sure... Very hard when you get to the fork in the road....
So many race tracks have closed across the country.... We only have 2 left here in So-CAl.... Its a dam shame...
Well. I am still oping someone that needs a tax write off with pick it up and keep it going.... But deep down inside, i dont think its going to happen.... May need to move to Tenn or Kentucky... LOL
Scrooge himself is gonna wish everybody a merry Christmas and happy new year!
And even if you can’t be happy and merry please everyone have a safe holiday, there’s a lot of people moving around out there so please take care.

Hello Mopar Family !! Hope you are all well?
Hope all your projects are coming along well? Spring is almost hear and it will be time for some movement of all the old heaps...
Cheers to all.... What are you working on?
Hey all, hope the new year has so far been agreeable to y'all. We got a huge amount of single day snowfall in January, for the Mid South anyway, almost 9" on the ground at my house. That's more than we normally get in an entire winter. Fortunately it didn't hang around too long. Had a near disaster since my last check in, I had moved my '36 to the back yard to give me some space in the garage to work on the Challenger some and around mid November went to retrieve it to take it to the Memphis Rodders Reunion on the Friday before Thanksgiving. Well I started it to let it warm up a minute and whoosh. A ruptured fuel line sprayed gas on the right side exhaust manifold and a nice ol' blaze erupted. Of course the garden hose was disconnected for the winter so my nearly 60 year old a$$ set a record for hobbling around to the spigot, hooking the hose up and dragging it around to the car to put the fire out. I still can't believe how lucky I got that the only damage besides the fuel line was a couple of charred plug wires and half a dozen wires on the back of the engine were burnt. The paint on the firewall got blistered but I have about a half pint of paint left over from a few years ago. After all of the holidays, the snow and a two week Caribbean cruise (which I badly needed), I was able to finally get on it about a week and a half ago, got it repaired and back running in about 6 hours. Got a ton of cleaning up to do - soot and scorch marks and of course repainting the firewall, so the Challenger's been on hold until the '36 is done. I was just so grateful that the car was in the back yard under cover instead of in the garage, very well could have lost it, the Challenger and my house. Now I get to look forward to 30 days of federal jury duty in April just as the weather begins to get right; once it's done I'll be back to the normal grind of weekly yard work and such.
Yep a good first extinguisher do come in handy when you need them. I know you can get them that don’t have the white powder inside that’s hard to clean up. I believe I have a Hallon extinguisher in my Plymouth from years ago and I believe it’s just AC refrigerant, you know the stuff that kills the atmosphere.
I am about to get a 2000 Ram 2500, 5.9 magnum. I want to build the engine to have a really good sound like this old Ford: https://youtube.com/shorts/aDxQ0Ou1r...tJUOZyW9i1l5E9

Have a awesome day and spring is almost here to go cruising....
I like the car but I can’t stand the colors, a traditional flame job of colors of red orange and yellow would make the turquoise tolerable.
Good Morning my friend !!!!
You know the story " Different Strokes for different Folks"....
How you and the Boy are all doing well and missing all the crazy weather...
No crazy weather here Bob just a very mild winter, believe it or not I didn’t have to shovel once and that’s something that hasn’t happened in my lifetime before.
I have been working real hard on this climb. Probably at least 15 hours over the course of 3+ weeks but finally got it. I normally only share my outdoor stuff due to the wonderful scenery but was really proud of the grit I put in and wanted to share.
